State Theatre Results

Group Musical (Diamond Bradford, Gabby Watson, Tammy Williams, Maureia Lawrence) Excellent Rating (top 30%) Dreamgirls
Duet Acting (Liyah Starwood, Jasmine Reed) Excellent Rating (top 30%) Ruined
Group Acting (Ty”Ree Gary. Alasia Wilkes) Good Rating (top 50%) A Streetcar Named Desire
Duet Musical (Tony Merritt and Ebony Nash) Excellent Rating (this was tough. They were ONE point away from a Superior and national qualification. Two judges ranked them superior and one marked them way down for one wrong note) Ragtime
Tech Challenge (Demarcion Little. Shavonte Brogley, Nakira Hatchett, Nia Merriwether, Maureia Lawrence)  Good Rating (this is pretty good since it’s a timed challenge and students were asked to use technology for lighting, sound and rigging that we simply don’t have)
Improv Olympix (Kiontae Dean, Paris Stone, KeShonti Rimmer, Kyra Sanders, Demarcion Little)
Disqualified for missing round 1 on Thursday night. They were allowed to perform for feedback the other two rounds and got an Excellent and a Superior rating.

 Scholarship Auditions

Tony Merritt–MO Bap, Lindenwood, Conservatory of Southeast Missouri State, Carthage
Ty’Ree Gary–Arkansas State, Central Missouri State, Carthage, SIUE, Missouri Valley, Northwest, William Jewel, Savannah College of Art and Design
Destiny Houston and Amanda Baranowski  also have possible offers but are not planning on majoring in performing arts.
